We can provide a program of educational workshops on a range of topics including hepatitis C, counselling issues, HIV/AIDS, safer sex, sexuality and homophobia. These can be delivered in the client's workplace and the exact content can be negotiated with clients beforehand.
Our style in presenting education sessions is very participative. Rather than deliver lectures and give hand outs, we encourage attendees to share their existing knowledge and experiences and to learn from each other as well as from the facilitators. Information on all blood borne viruses and other relevant issues is provided. We also attempt to have some fun, whilst maintaining professional standards. The workshops also focus on the emotional and counselling needs of people with hepatitis C, HIV/AIDS and other STI's and their loved ones, and on stigma, confidentiality, discrimination and the consequences of disclosure. Each participant will receive a resources to take home with them.
